PayPal

A Little Bit Better

PayPal Brazil were launching a revolutionary new way to pay, letting shoppers use their debit card to make online purchases for the first time ever in Brazil. Previously purchases could only be made using credit cards, cash-on-delivery, or Boletos – a system requiring shoppers to print a receipt and take it to a bank to pay for their online transaction before it would be authorised.

The brief asked for a creative platform to launch Pinless Debit in Brazil, defining the product to merchants and consumers, that could flex across different audiences and PayPal's comms requirements over time.

We settled on a strategic direction that was all about the 'small victories' shoppers could enjoy when they used PayPal with their debit card to shop online.

The creative execution dramatised the idea of small victories using tiny trumpets.

We produced a suite of assets including landing pages, banners, eDMs and more – all packed into a toolkit for PayPal and their partner banks.

The campaign was so successful we used the platform again for a second burst – PayPal partnering with Rappi – Brazil's leading food delivery service.
